99% Solidarity was excited to participate in nonviolent direct actions in Chicago from May 18 to 22, 2012. We secured and coordinated 12 buses to bring people to these actions from eight U.S cities. The buses were donated by National Nurses United.
There were several direct actions and events that bus riders participated in while in Chicago including:
- May 18 – The Robin Hood Tax Rally at Daly Plaza
- May 19 – Several planned and ad hoc Marches and actions
- May 20 – CANG8 rally and march at Grant Park Petrillo Band Shell
- May 21 – Shutdown Boeing action and several marches
99% Solidarity wants to thank all of the bus riders who participated. Your dedication to changing our world through non-violent civil disobedience, your kindness, the love that your share, and your demand for a fair and just society is beautiful. Together, we will succeed because The People, United, Will Never Be Defeated.
